Childhood Behaviours

This month's learning is dedicated to help you understand how to manage childhood behavioural conditions, such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, learning difficulties and tantrums.

Anxiety and depression in children is endemic. 15% of Australians aged 16-85 will experience depression in their lifetime (2007 stats).  That’s one in seven Australians. And 25% of Australians will experience anxiety in their lifetime.

Children are affected by Anxiety Disorders such as:

  • Social phobia
  • Separation anxiety disorder
  • Generalised anxiety disorder
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder

If you’re noticing an increase in fear, stress, and worry in your child, you might be wondering whether they’re dealing with an anxiety disorder. Being able to identify the signs and symptoms is a critical first step in helping your child with anxiety.

We are excited to announce we have just relaunched MTHFR Total Wellbeing B Drops to support your child's mental health and wellbeing.

Optimal levels of the key methylation nutrients, such as the B vitamins,  are vital for children, from in utero through to adolescents and beyond to support healthy growth, development and brain function.

The B vitamins  are also a particular clinical consideration in children with attention deficit (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) and autism spectrum (ASD) disorders.  Additionally, many endogenous (e.g genetic factors) and exogenous factors (e.g low dietary intake, medications, or heavy metal exposure) are prevalent in children contributing to low levels of B Vitamins, thereby impairing methylation.

B Vitamins for Child Brain Health

The MTHFR Wellbeing Total B drops is a comprehensive blend of eight B vitamins in a pleasant tasting, liquid delivery for flexible dosing.  Featuring activated forms of B6, Folate and B12, this formula has been created to meet the needs of patients with methylation polymorphisms.
